Yes, I am thinking along the lines of exclusive virtual goods. For example, the Killzone 2 costume for pre-ordering through Amazon should be the prize in Home if you complete all the trophies (platinum).

For Uncharted 2, if you beat the game on the harder settings, you should be able to get an exclusive Drake shirt that is both tucked in and flapping in the breeze (if you know Drake's famous shirt, this would be priceless)

Basically, all the trophies or game bonuses carry over to Home to give Home a sense of purpose. If I can walk around as a Motorstormer, I'll have a greater desire to go out and buy Motorstorm 2.

These virtual items are cheap to create and the payoff to gamers is huge. We love fanservice.

Game launching for Motorstorm and Warhawk was supposed to be in the initial Home. There is no game launching right now (since the last time I logged in). Sony has not enabled game launching and this is a major draw for Home. Less now since no public voice chat.

Those are both really interesting insights. What kind of bonus items would you like to see games offer?

Expensive virtual goods
Exclusive virtual goods
Virtual cash

Answers on a postcard.... ;o)

PS. can you elaborate on game launching?

Thanks,

Rick

Sony needs to encourage publishers to make it so that you unlock bonus items by completing their games. They also need to incorporate the game launching. This will encourage sales and could reduce the used game market.
